Position: Junior Assistant Front Office Manager

Department: Front Office

 About the Role

You will be essential to making sure that guests have a smooth and enjoyable stay as the Junior Assistant Front Office Manager. In order to maintain the RIU brand’s well-known hospitality quality, you will support the front desk management by supervising team members, managing daily operations, and helping to optimize service standards.

 What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and plan the actions of front desk employees to guarantee efficient and expert guest check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Assist the front desk manager or assistant in managing the concierge, reservations, guest services, and night audit departments.
  • Respond to complaints and special requests from visitors in a timely, courteous, and customer-focused manner.
  • Work with the revenue and housekeeping departments to keep an eye on room availability, occupancy, and revenue goals.
  • To improve service delivery and efficiency, front desk staff should receive coaching, mentoring, and training.
  • Assist in the ongoing enhancement of standard operating procedures and make sure they are properly followed.
  • Create duty rosters and shift schedules, and make sure there is enough staffing.
  • To improve guest interactions, keep a noticeable and personable presence in the lobby.

 What We’re Looking For

  • A hospitality management degree or diploma, or a similar discipline.
  • At least two to three years of experience working as an assistant manager or front desk supervisor at a four- or five-star hotel.
  • Excellent leadership qualities and the capacity to inspire and lead a group in a hectic setting.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and guest management abilities.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of front office administration systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulousness.
