For the academic year 2025–2026, the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) Deputy Vice Chancellor–Academic is inviting fully qualified students for admission into various diploma and bachelor programs.
All interested parties must apply online at https://oas.muhas.ac.tz and adhere to the guidelines provided by the online application system in order to be considered for the programs of their choosing. Application Procedures
1. Applicants with A- Level Qualifications (Direct Entry scheme):
- Candidates with overseas A-Level certificates and those with A-Level qualifications (direct admission plan) should apply for the degree programs via the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) online application portal, which is accessible at www.muhas.ac.tz.
2. Applicants with Equivalent Qualifications:
- Candidates with comparable qualifications should also apply online at www.muhas.ac.tz, the Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) Application Portal. However, before beginning the application procedure on the MUHAS website, students must first validate their certificates by contacting NECTA (applicants with foreign certifications) or NACTE (applicants with diploma certificates).
Admission Regurations
Only after they have paid the required university fees and shown proof of having a trustworthy sponsor will successful applicants be registered.
Before being permitted to register, employed applicants must provide proof of release from their jobs and sign a contract with the university that prohibits them from working throughout their study period.
At the time of enrollment, all students must sign up for the National Health Insurance Fund or provide proof that they are a member of a comparable fund.
The orientation program, which typically takes place the week before the start of the new school year, is mandatory for all new students.
First-year students will have four weeks from the first day of orientation week to register, while continuing students will have until the Friday of the second week following the start of the semester. A student will no longer be considered a legitimate student at MUHAS if they do not register on time.
No student may alter their study schedule after the Friday of the second week following the start of the first semester, unless there are special reasons. Only when the student satisfies the prerequisites for admission to the academic program for which the transfer is being sought and there is a vacancy in that program will switching from one MUHAS academic program to another or transferring from one institution to MUHAS that the candidate has been assigned by TCU be permitted. Following the transfer, TCU will be informed right away.
