The Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS) is delighted to Invite the qualified candidates to apply for Various Undergraduate Programmes offered at CUHAS in 2025/2026 Academic Year.
Our university is situated in Mwanza, Tanzania, on the grounds of the Bugando Medical Center.
The Application Window for the first round will be open from 15th July, 2025 to 05th August, 2025.

- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences (BMLS)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education (BSc. NED)
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm)
- Doctor of Medicine (MD)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSc. N)
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy (BSc. MIR)
CUHAS Entry Requirement
1. Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences – 3 Years
Direct Entry
Three A-level principal passes in physics, chemistry, and biology with a minimum of six points are required, with a minimum of a “C” in chemistry, a “D” in biology, and a “E” in physics.
Diploma/Equivalent Entry
A medical laboratory sciences diploma from an accredited school with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or an average of “B.”
The Vice Chancellor CUHAS should receive all official correspondence.
Additionally, a candidate must have five O-Level passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics, and English Language with a minimum grade of “D.”
2. Bachelor of Science in Nursing Education – 4 Years
Diploma/Equivalent Entry
A approved institution must award a diploma in nursing or advanced diploma in nursing education with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Additionally, a candidate must have five O-Level passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics, and English Language with a minimum grade of “D.”
3. Bachelor of Pharmacy – 4 Years
- Direct Entry
Three A-Level principal passes in physics, chemistry, and biology with a minimum of six points are required, with one requiring a minimum “D” in each subject.
- Diploma/Equivalent Entry
A accredited university must award a diploma in pharmaceutical sciences with an average of “B” or a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Additionally, a candidate must have five O-Level passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics, and English Language with a minimum grade of “D.”
4. Doctor of Medicine – 5 Years
- Direct Entry
Three principal passes with at least six points in physics, chemistry, and biology are required, with at least a “D” in each subject.
- Diploma/ Equivalent Entry
Diploma in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have 5 passes with a minimum of ‘D’ grade In Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics and English Language at O-Level.
5. Bachelor of Science in Nursing – 4 Years
- Direct Entry
A minimum of six points must be earned by three principal passes at the A-Level in Chemistry, Biology, and either Physics, Advanced Mathematics, or Nutrition. One must receive at least a “C” in Chemistry, a “D” in Biology, and a “E” in Physics, Advanced Mathematics, or Nutrition.
- Diploma/ Equivalent Entry.
Diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
In addition, an applicant must have 5 passes with a minimum of ‘D’ grade In Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics and English Language at O-Level.
6. Bachelor of Science in Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy – 4 Years
Direct Entry
Three Principal Passes at A-level in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 6 points whereby One must have a minimum of ‘D’ grade in Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
Diploma/Equivalent Entry.
Diploma in Medical Imaging/Radiography from a recognized institution with an average of “B” or a minimum of GPA of 3.0.
Additionally, a candidate must have five O-Level passes in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Basic Mathematics, and English Language with a minimum grade of “D.”
