About the Programme
An initiative being carried out by the MasterCard Foundation and BRAC International (BI) will benefit 1.2 million adolescent girls and young women as well as 9.5 million people in seven East and West African countries—Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Uganda—in a positive and quantifiable way.
Supporting adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) who are impoverished is becoming increasingly urgent, and the global pandemic has made this even more urgent. This collaboration will provide communities with scalable economic development strategies to support AGYW’s agency and voice. They will have the chance to realize their goals, establish long-term sources of income, and take part in advocacy activities.
In order to address the several life cycles of a young woman living in poverty and make sure she may safely move from adolescence to adulthood, BRAC International is putting into practice an integrated and comprehensive strategy. Position: IT Officer, Technology (Infrastructure)
Job Location: Tabora (Females are highly encouraged to apply)
Purpose of this job:
The management, upkeep, and optimization of the company’s IT infrastructure will fall under the purview of the IT Infrastructure Officer. In order to guarantee the dependability, availability, and security of the company’s IT infrastructure to support business activities, this will involve, but not be limited to, making sure that network systems, servers, storage devices, and cloud infrastructure components run smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Provide the necessary software and IT resources to employees during their onboarding process.
- To support their infrastructure needs, work together with cross-functional teams such as the security, help desk, and application development teams. As needed, offer end users and IT personnel technical support and direction.
- Within central identity and access management, govern user accounts, permissions, and access restrictions. Make sure that Mobile Device Management (MDM) and directory services are available, secure, and configured correctly.
- To ensure that every network device is running the most recent OS, implement, oversee, and maintain a thorough patch management procedure.
- Ensure end users have access to the most recent versions of IT applications and software by keeping an inventory of hardware and software.
Safeguarding Job Responsibilities
- To accomplish the programmer’s objectives for safeguarding implementation, make sure team members are secure from any violence, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation. serve as a vital resource for assistance, direction, and safeguarding knowledge in order to create a secure workplace.
- Team members should practice, advocate for, and support the safeguarding policy’s concerns. They should also make sure that safeguarding standards are followed in all actions.
- In the event that a reportable incident occurs, follow the safeguarding reporting procedure and urge others to do the same.
Required Experience.
- Three years or more of network and infrastructure experience.
- Management of mobile devices and applications
- Knowledge of Network Devices
- Certification as a Cisco CCNA or CCNP is advantageous.

- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology, or a related field · a thorough comprehension of the main forces behind digital products and new technology companies.
- Multitasking and dedication to one’s work
- Outstanding focus on detail and expertise in overseeing numerous projects and stakeholders.
- Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Motivation, adaptability, fortitude, and the capacity to function well under duress.

- Proficiency in spoken, written, and reading English is necessary.
- Preferably, you have knowledge of and expertise running development programs.
