AMKENI SACCOS LTD is a community-based SACCOS that operates as a Saving and Credit Cooperative Society. It is licensed as a SACCOS Class B under the Microfinance Act No. 18 of 2018 and is registered under the Co-operative Societies Act.
The SACCOS is situated along TEKU ROAD in MBEYA CITY’s MWAMBENE AREA.
The Society’s primary goals are to encourage saving, offer loan facilities to its members in compliance with lending policy, and provide additional services and values including financial management and the development of savings traditions.
To fill the post below, AMKENI SACCOS is looking to hire a skilled Tanzanian citizen.
Job Title: Chief Accountant 1 Post
Reports to: General Manager
The role’s objectives are to handle AMKENI SASCCOS LTD’s finances and to offer technical financial skills and advice to guarantee the accuracy of all financial transactions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- As outlined in the internal control policy, create and keep books and other accounting documents.
- Assessing the effectiveness of current accounting practices and making sure they adhere to legal requirements
- Examining financial records to address any inconsistencies and anomalies
- To perform a monthly bank account reconciliation.
- Creating and evaluating financial statements, such as the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and cash flow statement
- Reconciling previously recorded statements, reports, and other transactions
- To give the management advice so that they may make wise financial decisions as a professional.
- To carry out any tasks that the Board and its committees, including the management committee, may designate.
- Respect the association’s rules in the accounting sector as well as the rules and regulations pertaining to accounting.

Key Qualifications:
- Cooperative accounting, business administration, finance, accounting, or any other business-related degree or advanced diploma with appropriate experience can be earned with a bachelor’s degree.
- A CPA (T) or ACCA from the NBAA Board is required.
- Strong English communication abilities, knowledge, and experience both in writing and speaking.
- Significant experience in a relevant capacity (at least two years)
- the capacity to establish positive working relationships with both finance and non-finance personnel.
- teamwork abilities, as well as desirable knowledge, skills, and experience.
- proficiency with computers and gadgets relevant to data collection.
- Candidates must not be older than 45.
