The primary duties of the GBT’s, a public gaming regulatory organization created by the Gaming Act No. 4 of 2003, are to supervise, monitor, and control the gaming sector in Tanzania.
GBT is looking for capable Tanzanians to fill the following positions.
Open Positions and Description
1. Risk Management Officer II – 1 Post
Qualifications:
- Possessing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in risk management, social protection, insurance, actuarial sciences, statistics, accounting, or a similar discipline.
Duties:
- Establish, identify, and suggest risk management policies.
- Note recognizable hazards from various angles.
- Take part in creating the unit budgets.
- Maintain and update the GBT Risk Register.
- Create a culture of risk awareness at GBT by offering suitable instruction.
- Carry out any additional official tasks that your immediate supervisor may assign you.
Remunerations: As per the GBT Salary Scale.
2. Accountant II – 1 Post
Qualifications:
- Possessing an advanced diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce, or business administration with a finance or accounting concentration, or comparable credentials from an accredited university.
- A CPA (T) or other NBAA-recognized professional qualification is required.
Duties:
- After payments are received, make sure that all invoices are accurately documented and filed.
- Primary data should be entered into the appropriate journals.
- Keep track of your petty cash journals.
- Create accounting schedules in accordance with supervisor instructions.
- Handle employee imprests and loans.
- Create statements for bank reconciliation.
- Carry out any additional tasks that the supervisor or supervisors may designate.
Remunerations: As per the GBT Salary Scale.
3. Communication Officer I – 1 Post
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication, public relations, international relations, business communication, or a similar discipline, or an equivalent degree from an accredited university, and at least four (4) years of relevant professional experience are required.
Duties:
- Create and oversee forums for corporate public interaction.
- Make sure your messages are organized and understandable.
- For audio-visual content, record videos and take pictures.
- Organize internal communications at GBT.
- Help keep the GBT website updated.
- Help with organizing meetings, events, and protocol services for the company both internally and outside.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of GBT’s CSR (corporate social responsibility) programs.
- To guarantee active audience involvement, administer GBT’s social media presence and keep up with its accounts.
- Develop and produce creative approaches to delivering GBT messages.
- To determine the efficacy of GBT communication efforts, track and assess them.
- Oversee the GBT’s media, PR, and crisis response, making sure that information is accurate and communicated quickly.
General Applicant Conditions:
