In this article, are you looking for Position Announcement Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS), on behalf of the GAIN and PPH Validation Study, invites qualified applicants to apply for the following study positions Project Manager and Study Medical Doctors.
1. Job Title: Study Project Manager
Reports to: Principal Investigator
Location: MUHAS, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Position: 1
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the GAIN Study’s overall project management and execution.
- Create and keep an eye on activity schedules and implementation plans.
- Keep your project documentation up to date and compliant.
- Work with participating facilities to coordinate the lab and recruitment procedures.
- Monthly and quarterly financial and narrative reports should be delivered on time.
- Plan and record the team’s monthly meetings.
- Obtain and oversee local study amendments and approvals.
- Assure adherence to regulatory requirements, SOPs, GCP, and protocols.
- Keep track of the Case Report Forms (CRFs) and the Investigational Site File (ISF).
- Work closely with the finance officer to manage the budget.
- Encourage monitoring visits and site checks.
- Inventory and intervention supplies should be tracked and managed.
- Keep abreast on local regulatory procedures and GCP.
- Make a commitment to ongoing professional growth.
- Carry out additional tasks as delegated by the Unit.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- Project management, implementation science, or a related discipline at the bachelor’s degree level (postgraduate training preferable).
- A minimum of one year of experience in reporting, M&E, and project management.
- Understanding of GCP and other aspects of research governance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Proficient in both written and spoken English.
- Experience leading a team.
- Strong time-management and organizing abilities.
- Capable of meeting deadlines and working autonomously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Desirable:
- Postgraduate study in implementation science or project management.
- Expertise in donor-funded projects or clinical research.
- Familiarity with regional languages or dialects.
- Knowledge of working with the commercial sector.
2. Job Title: Study Medical Doctors
Reports to: Principal Investigator
Location: MUHAS, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Positions: 2
Key Responsibilities:
- Find, evaluate, and sign up research participants.
- Conduct laboratory tests, radiological treatments, and clinical evaluations.
- Communicate with facilities and clinics to assist with data collecting and recruitment.
- Follow up with participants during the course of the study.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
- A doctor of medicine (MD) degree and a practice license.
- Proven professionalism and clinical expertise.
- Knowledge of GCP and patient privacy (preferentially GCP certification).
- Outstanding written and spoken English communication skills.
- The capacity to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and operate autonomously.
- Strong interpersonal, time-management, and organizing abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Desirable:
- Clinical research experience.
- Prior experience working on private sector or donor-funded projects.
