In This Article, Are you looking for 39 Open Positions at NFRA, The National Food Reserve Agency (NFRA) is a government institution under the Ministry of Agriculture. NFRA’s was established under the Executive Agencies Act No. 30 of 1997 with the purpose of ensuring food security in the country.
In fulfilling one of its responsibilities, the Chief Executive Officer of NFRA has received approval for contract employment from the Permanent Secretary of the President’s Office, Public Service Management and Good Governance, with reference number FA.97/228/02B/14 dated 26 June 2025 and reference number FA.97/228/02″A”/202 dated 24 April 2025. Therefore, the CEO would like to announce to all qualified Tanzanians to apply for thirty-nine (39) positions as outlined.
Open Positions and Description
1. Office Management Secretary Grade II – 1 Position
Assembling, organizing, and putting away files and documents in the proper locations; creating lists of office supply requirements; and carrying out additional tasks as delegated by the manager.
The applicant must possess a Diploma or NTA Level 6 in Office Management, be able to write 80 words per minute in shorthand (English or Kiswahili), and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, the Internet, email, and Publisher from an accredited school.

2. Driver Grade II – 11 Positions
Responsibilities include inspecting the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety, transporting staff on official trips, performing minor vehicle repairs, collecting and delivering various documents, recording trip details, cleaning the vehicle, and performing other duties as assigned.
Applicant qualifications: Form IV certificate, a valid Class C or E driver’s license, at least one year of accident-free driving experience, and attendance of a basic driving course from VETA or another government-recognized institution.

3. Accountant Grade II – 1 Position
Responsibilities: preparing income and expenditure reports, verifying financial transactions, conducting regular bank reconciliations, managing cash inflows, maintaining and updating the general ledger, preparing payment lists and vouchers, trial balances, and maintaining fixed asset registers.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business majoring in Accounting from a recognized institution, along with CPA (T) or an equivalent qualification recognized by NBAA.

4. Human Resources Officer Grade II – 3 Positions
Responsibilities: assisting in developing HR policies, participating in recruitment and promotions, overseeing performance appraisal systems (OPRAS), implementing and evaluating training programs, managing staff leave and salary plans, preparing HR reports, updating employee records, coordinating field training requests, and addressing diversity and industrial relations matters.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Human Resource Planning, Industrial Relations, or Business Administration specializing in HR, from a recognized institution.

5. Economist Grade II – 3 Positions
Responsibilities include preparing implementation plans and budgets, developing service delivery strategies, managing inventory data, analyzing data for planning, and preparing periodic reports.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Agricultural Economics, or Agribusiness from recognized institutions (e.g., UDSM, SUA) with computer skills.

6. Engineer Grade II – 3 Positions
Responsibilities: conducting site surveys and planning land and infrastructure development, supervising construction works, land surveying, drafting and preparing Bills of Quantities, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering tasks, and repairing various technical equipment.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following engineering fields: Agricultural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Post-Harvest Engineering, or equivalent. Must be registered with a relevant board.

7. Accounts Officer Grade II – 8 Positions
Responsibilities include recording financial transactions, preparing pending payment lists, issuing accurate invoices, generating periodic reports, maintaining accounting records and deposit registers, and supporting voucher and invoice processing.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration majoring in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent, or intermediate certification from NBAA.

8. Assistant Accounts Officer Grade II – 1 Position
Responsibilities: receiving and safely storing invoices and claims, preparing petty cash vouchers, reviewing accounting document totals, and performing related tasks.
Applicant qualifications: an Ordinary Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration majoring in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent, or ATEC I certificate from NBAA.

9. Assistant Procurement Officer Grade II – 1 Position
Responsibilities: reviewing warehouse accounting transactions, processing supply vouchers and distribution reports, preparing purchase orders, assisting in procurement analysis, and managing approved procurement processes.
Applicant qualifications: an Ordinary Diploma in Procurement and Supplies, Logistics Management, or equivalent. Must be registered with PSPTB.

10. Records Assistant Grade II – 1 Position
Responsibilities: locating requested documents, registering records, categorizing and storing them appropriately, filing documents, handling document requests from government institutions, and distributing correspondence.
Applicant qualifications: an Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) in Records Management, Archives, or related fields from a recognized institution.

11. Agricultural Field Officer Grade II – 1 Position
Responsibilities: collecting grain samples, conducting scheduled pest control activities, collecting rainfall data, and performing assigned duties.
Applicant qualifications: a Diploma in Agriculture, General Agriculture, Crop Production, Horticulture, Food Production and Nutrition, Crop Science, or equivalent from a government-recognized institution.

12. Procurement Officer Grade II – 1 Position
Responsibilities: preparing price quotes and direct procurement orders, estimating procurement requirements, identifying supply needs, preparing tender documents, notifying winning bidders, managing documentation, maintaining supplier databases, and assisting in procurement reporting.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Procurement and Supply, Logistics, or equivalent, and must be registered with PSPTB.

13. ICT Officer Grade II – 1 Position
Responsibilities: planning and managing ICT equipment acquisition and maintenance, performing IT audits, maintaining internet and computer systems (LAN/WAN), updating software, creating technical reports, and coordinating content for the institution’s website.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related fields from a recognized institution.

14. Marketing Officer Grade II – 2 Positions
Responsibilities: collecting and processing market data, analyzing market information, sourcing data on NFRA products, distributing promotional materials, and conducting awareness campaigns.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Entrepreneurship, or Business Administration majoring in Marketing, or equivalent from a recognized institution.

15. Legal Officer Grade II – 1 Position
Responsibilities: preparing agency-related contracts, legal opinions, litigation documents, handling legal complaints, gathering evidence for court cases, managing case files, and drafting legal correspondence.
Applicant qualifications: a Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized institution and completion of legal practice training recognized by the Attorney General or the Law School of Tanzania.

16. Technician II
Responsibilities: performing approved repairs on vehicles, office equipment, and buildings; conducting preventive maintenance; identifying and fixing minor construction and engineering faults; and conducting technical tests.
Applicant qualifications: an Ordinary Diploma (NTA Level 6) or FTC in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering or related fields from a recognized institution.
