Open Positions and Description
1. Assistant Nursing Officer II – 5 Posts
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Diploma in Nursing (at least two years of study) from a government-recognized institution.
- Must be registered with the Tanzania Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Duties:
- Provide nursing services.
- Collect important health statistics.
- Supervise subordinate nurses.
- Educate patients and the community on health issues.
- Offer preventive and reproductive health services.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
2. Anesthetist – 2 Posts
Qualifications:
- Must hold a diploma in nursing or be a clinical officer with specialized training in anesthesia.
- Must have recognized professional certification.
Duties:
- Operate modern anesthesia equipment such as anesthesia machines and patient monitoring tools.
- Demonstrate good knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology, especially regarding anesthesia drugs and their effects.
- Analyze key patient indicators (e.g., heart rate, blood pressure) and take appropriate actions when conditions change.
- Handle medical emergencies occurring during anesthesia.
- Perform other professional tasks as directed by the employer/supervisor.
3. Records Management Assistant Grade I (TGS C) – 4 Posts
Qualifications:
- Must have completed at least Form Four (O-Level) or Form Six (A-Level).
- Must hold a diploma in records management from the Public Service College or any government-recognized institution.
Duties:
- Retrieve documents/files required by users.
- Control the receipt and registration of documents.
- File and organize documents in racks/cabinets.
- Record document movements and maintain accurate logs.
- Verify and prepare approved reports before releasing copies to the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
4. Masonry Technician (Builder) – 1 Post
Qualifications:
- Must have completed at least Form Four (O-Level).
- Must have technical training from a vocational training center (VETA) and be capable of construction work and handling building tools.
Duties:
- Read and interpret building plans.
- Build with bricks and stones.
- Plaster walls made of bricks and stones.
- Install floors properly.
- Repair doors when problems arise.
- Apply final plaster finishing (skimming).
- Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor.
5. Assistant Social Welfare Officer II – 1 Post
Qualifications:
- Must have completed at least Form Four or Form Six.
- Must hold a diploma in one of the following fields:
- Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Social Protection, Guidance and Counselling, Theology, Divinity, Child Protection, Social Policy, Early Childhood Development, or Social Gerontology.
Duties:
- Identify and serve people in special and vulnerable groups.
- Conduct initial assessments for people with disabilities, victims of gender-based violence, and child abuse, and refer them to social welfare services.
- Receive and prepare lists of candidates for treatment waivers and other social services.
- Participate in child protection activities.
- Collaborate with social welfare stakeholders and connect them with clients needing services.
- Collect statistics and prepare reports on service beneficiaries.
General Applicant requirements
- Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
- Must be between 18 and 45 years old.
- Must not be a government employee.
- Each applicant must attach a copy of their birth certificate, national ID, or NIDA number.
